Well Fellow Funsters, once again I come to you on bended knee, begging your expert advice.
I have been offered this Weather Station, at a reasonable Price, and have been advised that it is totally "green". It needs no power source, Solar 12 volt gas 240volt Carbon fuel Nuke Petrol or even diesel:thumb: So doesn't cost a brass razoo to run:Smile:

Now then! to my unpracticed eye it looks a bit like a brick on a piece of twine:Sad:

But I have been assured by the owner that it IS a Weather Station.
The instructions say;
If Brick is wet; it's raining
If it casts a shadow; it's sunny
If top is white; it's snowing
Can't see brick; it's foggy
Brick is swinging; it's windy
No Brick; Tornado

Now for the advice bit, Oh Ye Clever Cloggs, How long before I have to renew the twine?

Dunno how to break this to you Rangi but you've been offered a fake!!

A genuine Maori weather station doesn't have a brick and a tatty bit of string, it has a Genuine Maori Rock mounted on leather - no question of having to renew that. :roflmto:
