After all the talk in another thread about foreign vehicles better than British we are on the lookout for another Motorhome.we have twice been caught out with damp and it has cost us the best part of £4000 to put right over the last few years and have had enough to the point of us close to giving up.we was a bit nieve in the beginning and thought a habitation check also included a damp check and ended up with a very damp and costly van.but we love the life style so much we have decided not to give up and to buy another.
We have got about £26,000 to spend on our next van and don't want to make the same mistake again,we now know about damp tests but after reading about how good some of the german vans are it looks like that is the route we will be taking.we might not get as new of a van that we had but in our eyes will be worth it to have the piece of mind in knowing we hopefully will have a dry van.so after the long story my question is.
Where is the best sites and places to look for our next home.any help at all will be very much appreciated especially if it was to import a van

We are very new to all this but I thought a habitation check automatically included a damp check. The one supplied by our dealer did and we have just had our own one done this year and the form includes it, with a separate page with diagrams of both sides of the MH with the damp readings shown on them.
All the best with your next purchase.

We bought from frank Hubert of Hubert caravans Hemmelkiln. He was very helpful and provided all documentation required.
