Hi Belboy, gotta say we fly the flag for Autotrail, we had a 2003 Scout SE and now got a 2006 Chieftan G SE and loving em both. Only just got the Chieftan and it has had to go back to the dealer as we have got Damp! but we are not overly worried, the dealer Fuller's of Gunthorpe have been brilliant, they even came and collected our MH yesterday! As long as the repairs get done I don't see any issues. A friend of ours works for Autotrail and explained how very easy it can happen to any unit. SO, if it is a private sale then take a damp meter with you before you exchange the reddies, and if it is from a dealer make sure you have a warranty.

Enjoy.....

Our new Apache reports, may not affect you in the same way - hopefully those niggles will be sorted. We have had a couple of uneventful runs out after all niggles fixed, and very pleased now.

Belboy, congrats on getting your new motorhome.
We had a 2006 Scout SE and did a few trips round Europe and couldn't fault it. Lovely vehicle.
But when I came to sell it the dealer found damp in 3 areas ('they all do that sir') so we took the hit and bought an Auto Sleeper.
I still reckon we were just unlucky but after the salesman saying what he did you can't help but wonder. Not getting a reply from AutoTrail didn't help either.
