We are thinking of going to the Western motorhome show at Malvern 12-14 August and to the CCC National Feast of lanterns on 25 - 29 August which is at Malvern as well. Couple of questions as never been to either and fairly new to motorhoming.

The motorhome show has country and western entertainment in the evenings which we both like. Entertainers are KD and Louiseville and Darren Busby, Texas gun trio and Danny Lee band, the Hayley's and Ray Peters trio. Also extra cost on Saturday night (£12) there are tributes to John Denver , Tammy Wynette and Garth brooks UK. Do you know any of these? We haven't heard of any. Which to choose? Is it worth paying £12 each - all other entertainment is free. Lots going on during the day so sounds good. As well as lots of MH and exhibitors- sounds good to me.

Then we will need somewhere to stay from 14 August to 25 august. Not too far from Malvern show ground as going back there for NFOL. Perhaps about 30-40 miles away - any ideas/recommendations.

Probably need a bit of time on EHU for couple days in between the two events as there's none at MH show but thinking of having it at National Feast of Lanterns at end of the time. Anyone used electric at NFOL?

Would really appreciate any replies because we would like to book these events.

Thanks

Closer than 30-40 miles but The Ketch at Worcester is a nice site. We stayed there a couple of years ago. On the banks of the Severn and close to bus stops.

There is also the CC site at Tewkesbury. We've stayed there a couple of times.

Not long enough!
Stratford upon Avon. You can park at the race course, and it's a lovely walk along the river into town. It's only about 30 miles.

We went to nfol in Norfolk last year lekky was 6amp but kept tripping will boost batteries though, very muddy field!

Malvern was our 1st show last year and really enjoyed it so have booked for most of the shows this year.

The DA organising Malvern nfol are also running temp holiday rallies close by not sure where though but you can look up on CCC web site.

Try the Marlebank Inn, about a couple of miles away, mains hook up, toilets, showers, waste disposal. In the pub good beer and food.

We did Malvern last year and didnt pay for the entertainment as couldnt leave the dog. We walked him past and could easily hear it from outside as so many doors open! So we still got the atmosphere...but not such a good idea in the rain. My avatar photo is taken outside one of the venues there.

We've been to quite a few MH shows and are booked for Peterborough so far this year. We've never booked the Saturday entertainment but have tried the others once or twice. It doesn't really suit us, personally, as it can be too noisy to hold a conversation.
