Adding pictures to a conversation (1 Viewer)

This is a copy of

my new conversation with Carol pic that I just sent her

I just started a conversation .. Went to upload a file .. Chose a pic and away Togo ... Now if my blasted HTC would do that I would be a happy bunny

So am I missing something or is there a different conversation section ?

Good photos but how did you do it, Debs needs you to write it not show it.

you posted before I could reply but on the iPad it doesn't allow you to up load a file.

I am on my ipad .. Not the new type out but the one before ..it is a 4 with retina I think
or something
I did write what I done .. Start conversation with recipient add note , upload a file send

Debs not that I am aware of.. Lolol ... As I mentioned on the upload a photo thread.. My HTC x something or other settings are stopping me uploading a file to the thread... Blah....

Butttt I can upload a pic to conversations .. Soooo it has to be the settings somewhere in those dark dark settings

What button or whatever are you clicking to allow pictures to be uploaded directly to a conversation? I can only see how to do it by linking to a URL.

I've just been checking with another life member - who's kindly confirmed that they too have the 'upload file' option, I'm thinking it is that

Got a tiny little thing at the back if my mind that I've seen something on here about upgrading? Or is that one of my dreams again

Not a life member but do have upload a file see below.

If you ever get the option press hard on upload to give you ipad options

If you choose the picture next to the smiley on top left the only option is url so you need bottom right corner options, NOT icons top left

Actually stand corrected, I have been through every setting on iPad, including copy /paste option for photos and I can't do it in a conversation - Only on a posting without adding media or url. Sorry

Hi Debs, It's nothing to do with life memberships. Rather I suspect it's the latest version of software on your iPad that is the problem. I do have someone looking at it right now, but I'm not expecting a quick fix.

You are spot on. I have iOS 8 on my personal one and the previous iOS version on work one which is not upgraded yet due to various internal security issues - older one, shows " upload a file", iOS 8 not there.
Keep us updated when resolved, these Apple upgrades do play havoc often

But I haven't upgraded to ios 8 (didn't like what I was reading).

In settings/general/version is showing as 7.1.2 (11D257)

It's all greek to me I'm afraid, it's not that many weeks since I learnt to copy & paste on ipad, shocking

Jim is right, just checked, my iPad has been upgraded but not my iPhone, so I can add a photo in a private conversation on my iPhone but not my iPad, strange.

Oh I expect that is right my I Pad has not been updated because it was going to take 4 gig of space and it would have taken up to much of my allowance . Think I'll keep it as it is.

That's right Carol, presently life membership is an option under Broken Link Removed Its been there two weeks.

I've managed to pry the laptop off Les (only because I'm home alone) and logged on.

Woah, can't get used to the big screen, it's making me feel a bit queasy lol, can even see all the smilies properly too

.................and guess what - I've even got the upload a file button

think I'll have a look around the site while I've got chance
