Also make sure you've got a way of securing it otherwise it will go walkies! Oh, and the neighbours will be able to tap into the electric too ...:D

I'll leave it to the resident Electrical Engineering Consultants to explain why it shouldn't be used.

Bet you still run short !

Ignoring the inevitable naysayers, it looks like a very handle reel to have in the van (y)

Nice one.. We have four standard EHU leads. Two at 25 metres and two at 15 metres
Once, in Hungary, we had to use them all.. And I still had yo move the van a bit to get plugged in !

The voltage was not so much delivered at the van as crawled in and dribbled out the end of the cable LOL !!

Just because it's only 1.5sq. mm doesn't mean it can't be used. I have that size as well as a 2.5 sq.mm cable. Just have to be careful about the load. Still loads of cable to reel in as it should not be used coiled on the drum. But then it does highlight the reduced coiled current capacity in the ad

Not so cheap when you consider it is 1.5sq.mm

Also a drum takes up a lot of space in comparison to a couple of 25m cables which we more flexible

If you want to use the 'full' load capacity you'll have to unroll it totally ... then roll it all back up again ... could take a while but would certainly develop your arm muscles ... 40m is a LOT of winding! You'll end up with biceps like Popeye!!! :D
