Ability to show posts written by the OP on threads? (1 Viewer)

@Jim would it be possible to have the ability to show only the posts posted by the OP on threads?

Apologies if this function is already available.

This proves to be a very useful function on a marine forum where you only want to read the thread starters posts, especially when some threads can be many pages long; this function is available via thread tools on that particular website.

An instance where it will be useful on here is when someone is posting where they have stayed/been on a tour, or a build thread and you just want to read the OP's posts.

If I understand correctly what you mean - try this.
Click on the OPs name in their avatar.
When a large blue box appears showing their information, click on their name again
Then click on the Recent Activity tab or the Postings tab.

Alternatively, click on the Search button (top right) and then type their forum name in the box marked posted by member.
Apologies if this is not what you are looking for.

I might be missing your point, but can't see what you would gain, most posts have a question, you would need to see the answers surely?

I might be missing your point, but can't see what you would gain, most posts have a question, you would need to see the answers surely?

Very valid point David and would only be useful within certain threads, many of which are your very informative travel threads
The function allows you to filter the OP's posts, which allows you to read the thread almost like a travel blog.

Yes it would be a good 'addition', for example when there is a 'sympathy' etc type thread where you want to wade through all the responses and see updates etc from the OP.
