It's some years now but we've used Abbey Wood several times in the previous van. Site is fine, typical CC, easy enough to get to and easy to get into London on the train.

As Jim says, though, it is inside the LEZ so you need to be compliant.

Living the dream.
Is there a charge Jim, or are we just not allowed?

Abbey Wood is a great site, beautiful trees and lots of parakeets . The wardens are extremely helpful and the grounds very well managed.
The new cross rail terminates at Abbey Wood so the ripple effect has started . There's a brand new Sainsbury within a few minute walk and a lidl a little further .
I only store my van on site but keep promising myself to book a weekend there.
Enjoy .

My wife Shirley stayed there for the Olympics and Para Olympics as she was one of the game makers. She found it clean with plenty of shops close by and train just down the road. Look out for foxes loads of them.

As a good alternative consider Aldborough Hall CL. Very easy to get to, and about 10 minutes from Newbury Park on the Central Line.

Yes Abbey Wood is a good site with access to London on train . You can get a train ticket which includes London transport as well at the station . Greenwich is well worth a visit which is on the same trainline . The other London option is Chrystal Palace CC site which is also good with bus to Central London which can take a while if traffic is bad . We were LEZ compliant up till 2012 in our 2006 Rapido .Unfortunately we cannot use those sites anymore which is a shame since we have family and friends in London .
