Following my previous posts regarding this closure I now have some more info. There will be night closures of the A303 from Willoughby Hedge and Mere, on the Wiltshire/Somerset boarder, during November and December this year - I dont have actual dates yet. Early next year this section of the road will be closed totally from 15 February to 19th March. Westbound traffic will beforced to negotiate narrow and twisting roads through Shaftesbury and on the B3081. Eastbound will go up towards Frome I believe. Possibly best to avoid it totally as the traffic is bad enough when the road is open.
