I'm constantly complaining about the A17 to Newark with only one 2 to 3 mile stretch and a couple of half mile stretches of dual carriageway along its' entire 60 mile length (to say nothing of the A10). I was told by locals years ago that they didn't want to make access easier as it would bring too many outsiders in and spoil some of their nefarious activities. :whatthe:

To think there's another thread going on about the Welsh being insular.

I never said that. :getmecoat:

Since 2005
the A64 (york to scarborough) has had funding more times than i care to remember, but always pulled at the last minute for more 'pressing' projects.

Still waiting 20 years on for the A21

Twenty years have passed and we are still waiting for the promised duel carriageway on the A21 between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells... It is passed, then it is all change chairs again..
