Today at Camping de Montreal an nice old guy struggled over from his pitch to where we were sitting. The plates on his car were Dutch.

He introduced himself in very very broken English pointed to our GB & number plate!

He said "I love the British they saved my life I was in Auschwitz"

He certainly made me feel proud of my relatives from the past.
I know we'll never meet up again but that small moment will stay forever.

How nice, amazing considering the possible state of his health when liberated that he is still around!

I was standing in a bar in Utrecht when a Dutchman said "we owe everything to the British: let me buy your drink for you". And I always find they are very helpful on sites, also.

VERY heart warming stories.
Pity that the French we meet have forgotten so quickly what our fathers did for them !!
