Today my mh went for its annual service and first MOT and passed with flying colours but before I collected my vehicle the mechanic called me over to show me a sad but deadly outcome.

In the air filter were the bodies of three mice who had somehow managed to get into the air filter but their desperate efforts to chew their way out sadly failed and they died.

The service was timely for my motorhome for had the air filter failed because of their chewing their bodies could have been sucked into the Turbo and caused serious damage.

Where the mice came from or how long they had been there is a mystery as my mh is parked on my drive nowhere near any fields, but they could have found their way in when we were out and about anytime within the last year.

If your van was ONLY in for an MOT what was the mechanic doing in the airbox ?
Air filter has nothing to do with MOT.

Sorry Papajohn it was also receiving its annual service. I have edited the original post
