Capel Curig today.

It's often posted that it's always wet in Wales, well not always, today we had s slow ride through Snowdonia right through the mountains in the centre starting at Capel Curig! Often said to be always wet. So nice to see in sunshine .

Lovely pics - very envious. Part of the world I'm fortunate to know well.

There's something truly special about blue skies and sunny weather in such scenic parts of the country that - on average - attract more than their fair share of damp grey weather.

I have family holidaying in the Highlands at the moment, and they can't believe their luck...

Happy travels! (y)

The land of my fathers, quite literally!!

If you stop in the centre of capel cyrig at the t juntion and look down the valley towards llynay mumbur its a picture of generations of my family starting from where my mum and dad met in plas y brenin to my great grandparents first house in the old toll house to the left and back through the ages to the 17th century and beyond. Just about every farm in that valley was owned by a relative at one point and the church of st julietta is more than half full of their graves!!!

So make sure you behave yourselves......sacred land that is....

Teriffic photos.
I drove back from Abersoch via Betws y Coed a couple of weeks ago on a similar sunny day. Just stunning scenery, the vibrant young leaves on the trees were just amazing.
If fine weather could be more certain in Wales I`d never go anywhere else.

Our son was at Bangor Uni and we stayed at Bedgellert many times. Love the The Welsh Highland railway and when they play with a small orchestra in one of the carriages. We live in a beautiful UK.
