I need to be in Catterick on Tuesday, can anyone suggest a campsite/CL/wild-spot, close to Catterick that I might stop tomorrow night. Cheers

My nephew's pub at Sandhutton - the Kings Arms - will welcome you with a discount on excellent food if you arrive and order before 7pm - phone first, 20 miles from Catterick up the A1. He is in Britstops. Give him my love...

There is a pub in Brompton-on-Swale, just a couple of miles from where you are going, that has a caravan park behind it. Really cheap, though I cannot remember the name of the pub the telephone number is 01748 - 818483

Hi Jim,
if it's not too late, there's a free spot (or it was ) on the back road out of Richmond towards Reeth. It's on the right hand side and is a large car park by the river but coaches also use it. I've stayed a few times with friends in a large Hymer. Think you may also be able to stay in the main car park by the cricket ground but not been there for a while.
