We are now in Portugal and just found a lovely spot on top of a mountain.

No it's not wilding but a new Camper Stop built only last year. The owner speaks English, it's in the hills above Castro Marim with all services including WiFi and views to die for.

There is a bar on site but no food is served. At the moment only 4 vans so anyone fancy joining us?

A long drive from Cheshire but 37.331853, -7.468284 will get you there or check out my site in my signature it's on the aires page, €4.50 pn, €2.50 elec, free WiFi.

I also checked with the owner, as you are planning upgrading your van Brian, large vans can be accommodated, but no toilets or shower.

I've been there twice, once on Google maps (thank you Brian) and once on Google Earth and you're not even there yourself......

Morning Keith, we are at Silves until tomorrow and then heading up to Lisbon for 3/4 days before going back to Pedro's place ( we hope to see you there at some stage).
We will stop at this new place on the way home as looks nice, but that will not be for a week or two yet.
Thats for posting it as thats another new one for the TomTom.

    Nearly there!

    Hi Keith

I think you'll have moved on by the time we get there as I take early retirement on Friday (2 sleeps to go!). We are booked on the ferry on 14th February and will make our way to The Algarve to our house in Albufeira to drop off the odd shapes things that are impossible to fit in hand luggage!

We don't intend to stay at the house but rather take the MH along the coast and into Spain stopping wherever it takes our fancy. We're away for 3 months so plenty of time to move North as the weather improves (although at Peterhead where we stay that's for 2 days in August!)

Will definately stay at this site though as it's away from the coast and the busy resorts. Entering the coordinates now.

    Thanks

    Eric
