Pleased you managed to get it all sorted, looking forward to the next place you go to, and I have to agree with what's already been said, that recovery vehicle is a machine and half, no doubt just in case they had to make a recovery.

Anyway...

Next stop was to get the tyre repaired.

The man in the first (posh) garage that we stopped at showed Frankie that the tyre was beyond repair.

They didn't have one in stock and directed us to a tyre specialist down thr road.

They had everything needed. The tyre was rather old so Frankie bought two new tyres and the men moved the two good quality ones from the front to the back and put the spare back under the bonnet.

By the time we were back on the road it was too late to visit Luxey and the historic Resin Works socwe just drove to Villadraut again (see above, Mr Frentchy's son and daughter in law's site).

More (reasonable) site fees... pahhhh!

This is our last day together on this tour. In a couple of hours we 'll be both driving back to our places.
Working tomorrow I 'll have little time to get back into my working shoes.....
Fortunately we have nice pics to remember the places we have visited and we have our memories of course..... And ..... I have a few bottles ...Ssssssh!!!
Sad, of course.....but if we re looking to the bright side.... I m back to welcome any funster wishing to come and visit me...
Oh ...don t you ever think I 'll share these bottles with you....no way, I m far too selfish!!!

Back home....
I've emptied the fridge and started the washing with a big load ....
Looking around me.... and can't think 3 weeks have gone....
The grass has been mowed ...well done the Mairie (their job ... aren't I lucky!?)...
The workers have done their work alright , so now the wooden part of the roof has brand new white painting on, and I've got new bulbs on my garden lights! Yeepiiii!!!
Now the children (Yannick and his darling) have broken a door lock while here.... but they have managed to leave the place "quite" clean .... Of course it will never be like when it's me doing the job!
The car's engine has started first go...
I guess all is ready or nearly for work tomorrow.
With a bit of luck there will be nothing on the stadium table time....
JJ has nearly reached the Spanish border.... He's got to be in time to Portugal for Sunday footy (internet!!!)
Again our thanks to Frentchy and even more to his son Stuart for their warm welcome at their campsite! Brilliant !

Have reached Portugal and headed for our favourite little village petrol station for diesel... I am on fumes...

Of course today, they are having a bloody bull fight (don't kill the bull apparently, just wind it up a lot) and so everywhere, including the garage, is closed... no notices... no signs... just shut!

Very Portuguese...

I drove around the corner looking for somewhere to spend the night... and found an "aire" (I think) with water and a dump point by a cemetary... no signs... no notices... very Portuguese.

No sites fees here!

Just this minute arrived back at QMJ.

Nothing has been stolen!

First (slight) rain for months so stuff will start to grow faster now... back just in time...

3,388 kms covered since July 29th.

I plan to post some more photos and locations in due course...

If only I didn't have to keep replaying all these goals City keep scoring...
