That was my 1st motorised piece of transport, bought from the ex Army store in 1958, wish I still had it.

Whilst in Bilbao a few weeks ago, my sister spotted some electric bikes that were made like penny farthings.. Sadly she was too slow to take any pictures.
Anyone else seen one ?

Edit.. forgot to say.. They were not Yikebikes.. much bigger apparently

£370 a wheel is not that unreasonable at at estimated cost, most e bikes are upwards of £750 for a fairly low end version.

Thumbs down here, murder to service and not enough space for a decent battery and motor.

Similar kits are on ebay but with external controller and battery, much better.

Had eBike for years, this is pretty useless in my opinion.

It will have crap range (tiny battery fitted in wheel)
It may achieve 20mph downhill and thats the only way (an ebike that does more than 15mph powered is illegal)
It has no gears, so the first incline will be a killer.
Kits are available much cheaper, with separate proper batteries.

Just to put in perspective, a replacement battery for my bike costs more than that kit
