We are looking for advice on whether an A-Frame we received with our motorhome can be used with a Smartcar and if so, what modifications are required to the Smartcar?

Pictures are included for the A-Frame.

Also, if you have tips, etc. on using an A-Frame we would very much like to hear them.

All advice is greatly appreciated.

many many years! since I was a kid
the frame itself is standard, all you need is the car specific fittings to change to a different vehicle

As it is an Armitages A frame why not ring them for advice?
As for towing the Smart ALWAYS make sure the car is in neutral and you have PRESSED THE FOOTBRAKE before you set off, otherwise the car remains in 1st gear and can demolish the engine very quickly!!!!

As has been said above; you have the A frame which is universal you now need the Smart car fit from the A frame supplier fitted to your Smart.

I had a reply from Armitages, £500 for the conversion to older Smartcar and £650 for a new one.
Just seen tidy Smartcar, on Autotrader, with conversion already done, may look at that after Christmas, if still there.
Thanks all.
