It happened about 5 years ago with our fridge.
It smells!
It's started again and I obviously did what needed to be done but, yep! You guessed it, I forgot what I did.
I remember taking off the outer slats and finding a small plastic receptacle and a tube.
I also remember putting some warm/hot water down the little hole at the back of the inside of the fridge and that connected to the tube but I can't remember if I did anything else.
Can anyone help please?

I had a smell in our fridge for ages. Bought deoderisers. Cleaned it to within an inch of it's life.. went on for weeks. Couldn't fathom it At all. Found out it was 2 portions of Camembert cheese I. Separately foil wrap that I'd bought in France had gone off.. They were in date too.

You can spray the inside with a solution of vinegar and water apparently but I would just wash the inside was washing up liquid and water. The vinegar could cause corrosion of hinges etc if not completely removed. And of course when not using the MH leave the door of the fridge and the freezer compartment doors open. There is a position on the catch on ours which holds the door open just enough.

If it is a stagnant water smell from the vents you are on the right track, it happens when the water in the box has not evaporated off. Take the box off and soak it in a bleach solution.

We had a smell in our fridge too. Cleaned it with bi carb and put a bowl of ground coffee in to absorb smells. Worked eventually.

I use a pipe cleaner on the drain hole at back of the fridge!
That's what else I did! Thank you.
It's not a smell which internal washing/cleaning or absorbing will work but it's the smell that comes from a blockage. I know in domestic fridges (not Dometic) that water can ice in the hole and block.

Pipe cleaners, that takes me back, my Dad used to smoke a pipe. I would imagine rather difficult to buy these days, specialist shops or the internet I suspect.

Edit: Just googled pipe cleaners, lots available in many colours, didn't realise how versatile they are for craft use.

You can get very small bottle brushes.

Long time
That would be pushing the boundaries of reality, a Dometic fridge freezing something.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I have several meals in the ice box of my Dom fridge, plus ice cubes, and they stay frozen.
Last summer I brought several Duck breasts back from France in the 'freezer' and ate the last one a couple of weeks back.
Now back in France-very hot weather-and the fridge is working fine, stuff is still frozen.
I do go round the ice box door & shut regularly to remove ice build up so the door stays shut.
