About ten years ago there was a motorhome parked on the aire at Biarritz in south west France that was used for this purpose.
We saw a merc pull up at the side of it ..a well dressed gentleman took a basket out of the boot along with bottles of champagne and he escorted a young lady inside. He left moments later but she was there until the following morning when he came and collected her..we never actually saw any "gentlemen" visit but talking to some French motorhomers it appeared that the vehicle had been there for quite a few months and the police knew about it but turned a blind eye.

A few years ago, we holidayed at a chambres d'hote just outside La Rochelle, and went to have a look for the naturist beach nearby adjacent to a nature reserve. We were on the Blackbird, and there was a very large, long layby from which the footpath was accessed. Great - the path entrance wasn't far along and there was an old (French) motorhome parked nearby, then a big gap in front of it with some lorries parked up further along. So we pulled in behind the moho and off we went.

Didn't find the beach impressive but stayed a while and came back by which time the lady from the moho was sat on a chair in the sun, painting. We smiled and passed the time of day with her.

A few days later, did it again. This time she was already sat outside so we spoke again and she says she'll keep her eye on the bike, cos she'll still be there when we returned. She was indeed but sitting in the cab with the door open - we went to say thanks and couldn't help but notice she was wearing fishnets, had her blouse open enough to see her cleavage and a tight short black mini-skirt, with stilettos.

We converse - and she is quite upfront about her being a working girl - and we had quite a long chat with her about it. The police knew about her, they used to check on her to make sure she was OK, the HGV drivers were her main clients and it was all very discreet! She was putting her daughter through uni at the time.

She spoke no end of different languages and we've often wondered about her since and hoped she went on OK and the daughter did well !
