hi pappa, i had a thruxton bonnie thought it was fast then i took out a 900cc kwaka in about 1974/5 then i realized what speed was . open face helmet eyes running. still wear open face ,use a spanish moped hat seems they leave me alone looks like a cut away. but cheaper.

My first road bike was an ex-GPO telegram Bantam complete with legshields. 55mph flat out. Passed my test and went out and bought a Vincent Black Shadow, 56mph in 1st !:Eeek: Part exchanged that for a BMW/Steib sidecar outfit which cost £430 in 1967. I struggled to get £100 for the Vincent. Recently one was sold at auction for £67k.
I now run a Goldwing, 1823cc flat six with reverse gear( which I can assure you is not a gimmick) Will comfortably do 5 or 600 miles in a day.
I also have a Gilera 180cc Runner scooter which does 0 - 60mph in under 6 seconds. That frightens more than the Goldwing.:whatthe:
