3 way Fridge Gas button stuck (1 Viewer)

The Gas button (the one that you press to allow gas to flow to the burner) is stuck solid and will not turn - is there any way to free this button or do we need to buy a replacement.

Firstly, I'm no expert.
But does the button hit the facia when you push it in ?
If it does, pull the knob off and put a little bit of paper in the hole in the knob and replace.
This should hold it out so it clears the facia and should allow it to turn.
I only know this cos the engineer that serviced our fridge at Lincoln did it and mentioned that he'd fixed a couple that had your problem.

The button is stuck solid which prevents it being pushed in and also prevents it from turning.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi sue try a little squirt of wd40 then leave for a couple of mins before pressing a few times to try and release.
