I just wondered if anyone had paid to have a 2nd battery added and if so how much it had cost? I realise that this is a job that many would consider as DIY but in the event of an accident I really don't want to be sitting on anything that I've re-fitted and probably cross-threaded ;)

many many years! since I was a kid
the battery you choose, as that is a variable price plus the wiring £15 plus 1 1/2 hours (due to removing the seat)

say £100 plus battery depending on labour prices where you are

Over 6000 miles between 3 March to 26 September 2017.
We ordered ours when we ordered the motorhome, together with the solar panel. Both batteries are under the rear half-dinette seat next to the boiler. Can't remember how much extra we paid though.

Getting better month by month.
I had a second battery fitted under the seat and it cost me £200:00. When replaced the batteries alone were £150:00 each. So £50:00 to fit.

Jeez £50 nicker for sticking a second battery in.

I would buy a crate of wine (in france of course) and go to a rally ! (if i didnt do it myself)

They really are very easy if you have the right tool to take out the seat (allen key probably). A quick google search to work out which way the wires go round. a spanner to do up the battery terminals and then do the 4 bolts back up on the seat. (After putting it back of course)

Re-fitting the seat shouldn't worry you. If you saw how underseat batteries are held in place by the converter the seat is the least of your worries! I have batteries under both my seats but they're now held in place by more than the front plastic cover and a wing & a prayer.
