My cab AC has stopped working, put the van to the local garage and the guy there reckons it's an after market fitting as it does not come up on the diagnostics. He's charged it, the compressor clutches in , but does not compress the gas. Anyone got any experience or ideas? The van is a Bessacarr E560.

Too follow up, for anyone's interest, a new compressor has been ordered to be fitted next week, not cheap.

New compressor fitted and system working a treat. Mechanic strongly recommends running the AC every two weeks to ensure it works and a service every two years. This also lubricates the seals. Reinforced by the office girl. Sound advice, I used to run it every month, when I remembered.

Also had them install a new Alpine radio with a remote control, Bluetooth etc. Good job as the wiring was a bit funny due to the reversing camera set-up.:xsmile:
