Following on from another thread I thought I would look up how much fresh water we can carry..
After a few days I top it up with a 40 ltre rolly polly and put on average 3 barrels worth in
On the one occasion we did run right out it took 5 ( well actually 4.75ish) to fill it back up again

Upon checking, the van is supposed to have a 100 ltr capacity.
Quite obviously ours is much bigger than than..
So anyone else got any idea what their capacity is ?

Our Autotrail takes 100 Litres (or so it says in the manual).. i fill it until it comes out of the overflow normally..

To do almost 5 trips at 40 litres each i can't believe it actually can hold nearly 200 litres or even 175 for that matter...

Did you check its not coming out of your overflow ? :D

My capacity is about six pints of best but the motorhome is meant to be around 65 litres. :D

Yes.... According to my manual it is 100ltrs but unless someone has converted the tank to TARDIS spec it just aint to.
We have found several things on the van that are completely different to the spec listed though.. I suspect when this one was built it was either a special job for a specific purpose ( our old Miller was built as a show only one.. it was never meant to be sold and go on the road.. Hence it being 200kg over weight when completely empty ! It was not until I spoke to SEA in Italy I got the full story )
Or maybe the first owner had upgrades done.. No idea !

Was the ground getting wet on the other side of the van?

That's the breather, that is, John!:)

100L mine. If you can measure it do that L x W X D in Metres = Litres of water.

120 litres in mine and that's exactly what it holds however it seems to take longer to fill than use.
Did fit a new shower head recently one of those that mixes air with the water does definitely help make the water go further.
Water is the big prob;em for us we seem to be heavy users always struggling with water management, got everything else (gas, electric, heating) sorted but never got enough water.

Looked underneath and cannot see anything out of the ordinary.. but then, if the bigger tank was fitted many years ago by a professional outfit, there would be no signs..
All a bit of a mystery..
Sorry to say I cannot really measure it without considerable faffing about !
