A word of warning, all 20 pound notes with Edward Elgar on the back go out of circulation at the end of June. Banks may change them after that date but it is up to them. So everyone, especially you wild campers who like to hang onto their money, check in your little hiddy holes for all that stored money and get it changed.

    Routers

Retailers will no longer routinely accept old-style 20 pound notes after June 30, though the Bank of England will exchange them indefinitely and commercial banks and building societies will continue to accept them from customers for several months.
