I see many comments over the months about generators and charging 12v batteries. This site might help some with a solution:

Lots of interesting stuff on the site.

The 12v chargers give 50 or 80Amps - should get anyone going.
Didn't see a price.

We have a Gasperini 12v charger - works the same way - delivers 20 amp but is conveniently mounted permanently under the van and cuts in automatically should the batteries voltage drop then cuts off when recharged. Is operated from the cab and can be run manually as well. Runs off LPG so no need to carry another type of fuel.
Great for dreary winter days when off EHU and even better when it's raining and you don't have to go outside to lift the genny out of a locker. Quiet too but not quiet enough for those pre-sensitized to genny noise. :winky:
