12v tv lead (1 Viewer)

Where do i get a 12v lead for tv. The one end at tv is a round 4pin and the other end looks like a cigarette adaptor but is smaller and says 12v 240w. A cigarette attachment does not fit. Thanks

sounds like you mean a hella/DIN plug normal on german motorhomes .. you should be able to get an adaptor to plug it into a cigarette lighter socket

I would be inclined to,, if you know the make of TV,, google and try and find the makers web site,, and see if there is a uk importer/supplier if not made in the UK which I doubt..

There seem`s to be so many different types of plug at the TV end these days.. :thumb:

round, 4 pin plugs can be a pain to source.

some are symetrical pins and others are offset.
they contain two live and two earth pins and you need to know the polarity of each pin so you need the tv make and model then go to maplins website.

the fag lighter end is a DIN plug and you should be able to buy an adaptor to bring it up to normal fag lighter size or just cut it off and fit a fused regular fag lighter plug.
