Newbie to the world of 12v living with a very basic question! What type of connector/plug do I need to enable me to charge phones/computers using this socket?

Any recommendation for chargers etc. appreciated. I am stumbling into the 12v world after years of enjoying EHU on sites!

TIA

Richard

the one to the right looks like a heller type socket -as used on continental vans-you can buy a conversion to a standard UK cig lighter outlet and then a usb plug in connection for your phone(y)

The right hand socket appears to be Link Removed.

The plate has Clipsal written on it. There is such thing as a Clipsal 2 pin plug so I imagine you need something like this:

That said, it's not a system I'm personally familiar with. I just did some Googling.

There are at least 2 types of these flat pin caravan sockets. As the plate is branded Clipsal the perhaps this one with a clipsal plug would be the one.

If it was me i'd rip it out and replace it with a "standard" cigarette lighter socket :)

I made an adaptor for mine which has a standard car fag lighter type socket on the end.

Then I went back again and added a blue LED to it.

You know, like you do...

Thanks for all your help guys. SWMBO doesn't want any additional sockets installed so I'll go with the clipsal plug option for now. :)
