... I'm waiting for the 'or go to a Nudist colony camp site.' :)
thats a bit like the old lady that did a streak through the nursing home. Two old chaps were watching. afterwards one asked the other "what was she wearing?" the other said "no idea, but it needed ironing"

Decent battery bank, with solar and a 2000W inverter. Does not need to be pure sine wave for hairdryer. That is what my wife uses.

what is a decent battery bank?

We have a 240v iron in the MH. Use it often, don't even carry a EHU lead anymore!

The secrets of how we do this are well documented. But it requires decent batteries, an inverter and a Sterling charging system to charge when needed.

I have 2 x 110Ah Banners. Not much compared with Andy's @Techno100, mind you. My wife's 15 minutes with the hairdryer takes about 15% out of them. She uses it about once every 3 days.

Thanks for that! We have two banners as well. Will wait for new van and get solar

Can't believe you lot even take irons and hairdryers with you. Leave them at home, you really don't need them - end of problem.

(presuming they are not a skin head) So how does your wife/partner or you dry their hair pray tell.....without looking like they have been pulled through a hedge backwards:D

We use the 'Techno solution' and run hairdryer toaster, iron etc off batteries with adequate solar and a biggish inverter. My personal view is that ironing is unnecessary, it all looks the same after you've worn it for 10 minutes. SWMBO thinks differently and so ironing happens. We use the iron on inverter even if we have mains hook up, as the 4-6A provided at a lot of site bollards is not usually enough with other bits and pieces and sometimes needs a trip to reception to get it reset.
