its a funny fault
when you press some buttons [most buttons the top left sat button flashes red], on a few buttons, when pressed there is no top red flash
tried new batts, problem is one of the 'dud' buttons is the ok button and the sby!!??

I think you mean longer not thicker. it still works ok

If you're not going to use the 230 adapter then the best thing is as I said at the start. Cut the lead off and use that.
Or put a thin strip of tape around the hilt of the outer pin so its a tight fit. OR don't sneeze
