12 volt cigarette/usb

    :censored::censored::censored:I'm fitting cig/USB socket in the van does any one no what size fuse I should fit and what size cable I should use and what connections I should use on the battery!

    the socket may be 10amp or 15amp depending on its intended purpose.

    a 10amp (120watt) is a cig lighter while a 15amp (180watt) is an accessory socket.

    usb is 5v and rarely more than 3amps max.

    cable size will depend how far from the supply battery the socket is placed.

    Hi pappajohn cable light max 3 mtrs and use only to charge phone iPad and for wifi iBoost

    15amp socket plus usb......6mm cable for 3mtrs length
    You may use the 12v socket at its full potential at some time so need to allow for that.
