If you can ask the Marshals to pop the event on the Rally notice board for you, along with a time which suits you both, you'll be sure to get a great response.

And for anyone heading down this way, there is a good public weighbridge a few minutes from J15 of the M40. It is a trading standards one, 2 plates if you want both axles, or if you just want to know the van weight, ask nicely and they may let you just look at the display, or you can pay for certificates (not print outs). Plenty of room to get in and out.
