Do you have a name for your motorhome? How did you come by that name? Many years ago the wife and I had a motorhome in New Zealand where a beach hut or a more sophisticated equivalent was called a "batch" perhaps short for a bachelor apartment (citation needed) and we called our home for six months "WheelieBatch" . Now we are off for a couple of years of so in our U.K. type motorhome to tour Europe and will call our new home by the same name. Who has a name and a good reason for the name of their home?

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Our old Bongo was called Valentine Teabag, bought on Valentines day & had a smell of teabags lol. Myfanwy for our Sprinter, as we have a strong Welsh connection.

On and off for many years.
The current van is Buffy because of her registration ending in "BUF". The new one will be Jemima :)
Her registration will end in "DUX" and my Mum always said she wished she had called me Jemima because I was usually found sitting in any puddle I could find. These days I don't make my own :)

Had ours 20 months now and it still hasn't got a name. Can't seem to find the right one. We call it the Van.
Could be Vangelis, Vanessa, Vanda, Evan, but none of them are right.

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
Just the van, the caravan that preceded it had the same as did the Bessie usually and all three have been and are the only van we have. I suggested Pontius for this one (since it's a Pilote, obviously) but Pete pointed out he didn't think that the original was really portrayed as a very nice person - so No Way.

My Chausson was a Gertie also slighly portly and bit overweight.

My new Hymer is an ML-i, I cannot have Millie as that has gone to another of the same ilk. Wifey wants Germima or Hermione.
If it is a choice then the latter, Hermione would be the better

Harvey because he has pretensions to being an RV.
But much to his disgust he's commonly referred to as 'the van'.
