Winterising Your Motorhome Vers 2 Dec 2017

No permission to download
The best thing you can do with your motorhome through the winter is to use it. However, if you do lay up your motorhome, using this simple checklist will ensure the cold weather does not damage your pride and joy. As soon as the temperature drops below zero then the potential for costly damage is there. If you don't take precautions then you risk broken pipe joints, split pipes, snapped taps and cracked water heaters, all of which are costly to repair.

Thank you for this. I will be printing this off and using it for definite
Thanks Jim, I have printed it. I suggest that you could have added: When draining your water/ drainage pipes, firstly , ensure that the vehicle is level, then when the water stops running, tilt the vehicle in all directions on uneven ground to remove the water residue. I also would suggest; ensure that the windscreen washer tank has sufficient antifreeze/ washer fluid to prevent freezing, and ensure that it is pumped through to the washer jets ! If possible, remove all soft furnishings except curtains.
Excellent checklist!
