My ferry isn't until tomorrow night but since it's a bank holiday in England I thought I better make a dent in my journey today,I'am parked up at the Toby Carvery in Carlisle tonight enjoying a pint of cider. Good fuel consumption today (23.7 mpg) must be downhill from Scotland. Truth is I had a tailwind. Will top the tank next door at Tesco in the morning,cheers to Keith's pub stops.

Had a good run down to Dover from Carlisle and even managed to get on an earlier ferry,even better consumption on this leg as well.Probably helps when you blow your tyres up to the recommended pressure,boats full of French brats so no chance of a snooze.Heading for Cite Europe tonight,don't know if I might catch Carrefour still open for some plonk though.I also got pole position on the loading deck.

Glad it's not this weekend would of been a washout yesterday and iffy today. At las Dunas €17 with acsi, they printed our tickets out for us in the office nice site but moving onto Jerez, €19.20 per person here next weekend

No, moved over to the camping at Puerto to do some washing etc. Got abit sidetracked doing a little tour of this place tho lol . think we might be back there (Cadiz) tomorrow before heading to Jerez

Dave, do you mean El Puerto de Santa Maria? That is where we are thinking of staying tonight because you can get a fast ferry to Cadiz from there. Not sure whether to go to Aire or ACSI site there.

The tasting looks good. May be forced to do that!

Well I had a loong drive today,540km and 8 hours. The weather was ok to start with until just before Bordeaux then it chucked it down and very windy. Parked up at Ondres plage now and it has calmed down a bit,hopefully can watch the last episode of Line of Duty tonight. Picture is of Spain in the distance,the sea

is wild.

Was still a bit blowy/wet when I left Ondres this morning but by the time I got to San Sebastián it had cleared,refuelled at 1€ a litre at Eroski. 340km later I'am at Torquemada and its sunny but cool. Roll on tomorrow when I get to Caceres.

All the sites seem to be getting ready for the influx. We are staying at one at Le Puerto and they are fully booked from Wednesday onwards. Loads of coned off pitches in preparation.

I'm not going to El Puerto this time,going straight to the circuit camping. Stopping Wednesday at Monesterio.
