I was recently in South Africa for 8 weeks and returned March 5.
During my stay there I frequently logged onto Fun on my Hudl and noticed that the ads on the side panel included some South African businesses.
Now back in the UK but the South African ads continue to pop up from time to time.
Not a problem at all, I just wondered what mechanism triggered their appearance when I was there and what will now turn them off.

Just curious.

Damn clever (or nasty depending on you point of view) these days. They track where you've been, what you've looked at on line etc. and then throw ads at you that they have 'type cast' for you. They follow you through your search engine, Facebook etc storing little information 'cookies' on your systems or theirs. If you use Firefox and Duckduckgo you can reduce your burden - an Adblocker can speed your browsing up significantly but the sites you visit lose revenue (y) :)
