Hi guys. Went away for new year in our van for the first time and it's got a combi boiler. We assumed u can run heating from electric hook up? We ran out of gas on last night ❄️❄️. Does anyone know if you can or not? Or do we need to stock up on gas bottles?
Thanks

Unlikely, the boiler is usually only for the hot water. We have Eberspacher diesel heating in our Rollerteam which uses a tiny amount of electric for the fan but no gas.

Have you considered refillable gas cylinders as in Gaslow, Gas it etc tgen returnable cylinders are gone and fill up like fuel.
By the way

If your system doesn't provide heating I would plug in a little fan heater if your on EHU.

If you provide more info on your system folk can help you better.

The "Combi" boiler, is, I assume the Truma Combi, which is both a space (blown air) and water heater. As standard on European motorhomes they are gas only, but you can usually get an electric and gas one for extra money when you spec the motorhome from new. So you will need to check which one you have. It will be either a Combi 4 or 6, if it is gas only or a 4E or 6E if it is gas and electric.

But you need to be aware that the electrical element is not very powerful (if it was it would blow most site supplies) and in the cold you really need to use it on gas to get the motorhome warmed up.

Thats what I would say also

We have a Zafiro and the boiler only works on gas but we have a small fan heater when on EHU. We are going to invest in a LPG system after a growler alarm.
