We would like to invite members of MotorhomeFun to our May 2017 rally in Hungary.

We are an English couple who own a campsite in Hungary. We have recently had a member of MotorhomeFun stay with us during his tour of Europe and he suggested putting the idea of a rally organised by ourselves to members of this group. Many people are not aware of what Hungary has to offer and by offering this "all-inclusive " rally we would give people the chance to see a bit more of the "real" Hungary.

Details can be found at the following link :

We have space for 20 motorhomes.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Thank you

Looked at your FB page and website and don't understand prices quoted on website. Quote 11.50 Euros a night for pitch but on Rally page £260.00 for 01 to 08 May 2017, this doesn't make sense to me. Please explain.

If you scroll down on the event details you will see the following :
Total package price includes :
7 nights pitch fees including EHU, showers, toilets and WiFi
Day excursion to Budapest by coach and Danube cruise with buffet lunch plus free time to look at the sights
Day excursion by coach to Lake Balaton, the Tihany peninsular and Balatonfured
A half day coach excursion to the thermal baths at Tamasi
A day with various demonstrations at the campsite of Hungarian cheese making, honey, and pumpkin seed oil with opportunities to taste and buy
A traditional Hungarian meal cooked over the open fire by your hosts which includes 5 drinks per head ( beer or wine ).
This also gives you two free days at Tranquil Pines to explore the area on the many walking and cycling trails or to just rest and enjoy the pool and sun **.
The price is £260 per couple. ** Food is included at lunchtime in Budapest and the Hungarian meal at the campsite. All other meals you must pay for. This price is based on current exchange rates GBP 1 to HuF 339 and is based on 10 couples / units. It will come down to £198 per couple if there are 20 units taking part.

We feel that £260 is a very good price for a couple with all of the above :)

Thank you for this explanation and I am sure this will be more informative to other Funsters now you have posted the details of this rally on this thread. For your information I have just been back to your website page, clicked on the top option on home page 'Tranquil Pines May 2017 Rally' and when taken to page tried to scroll down and the information you have just posted is not to be found on this page, just the FB announcement and underneath the option to put in cart.

Would someone confined to a wheelchair be able to take part in the excursions. So ramp or lift onto coaches and the boat for the Daube cruise?

I will follow this thread with interest. We are planning to visit Slovenia/Croatia next year so this is but a minor detour.

Hello,
There would be no problem with the Danube cruise or other excursions. Could you please advise what kind of access would be needed to the coach and would the person be able to sit in a standard seat or require a specified wheelchair space? If you would like to email me on info@hungariancountrycamping.com it may be easier for us to discuss all requirements. Andrew.

May and June this year are spoken for, as are Sept and Oct. July and August are stay at home months (too many grockles) so afraid 2017 is a no-no.

I will email you in due course.....but, forgive me, we have heard the 'no problem' response before, and believed it to our detriment. Toilets totally inaccessible for example. So we would need facts from the ship etc. Re the coach, probably a specified wheelchair space would be easiest.
