Serious lack of services? (1 Viewer)

Morning All,
OK so have trawled through and can not find answer so will ask.
We are in Porto and since arriving have found there to be a serious shortage of service points. Having found a great spot reluctant to move, may have to just to empty the loo! Really?
Any advice gr8ly appreciated.

I assume your "great spot" is off site...

All I can suggest is visiting the nearest campsite to do the deed (leaving your OH sitting in the space) or finding some public loos or locating a manhole marked "Escotas" and dumping it there. Not "Pluvias" though... that is a no no no...

Thank you JJ, we did look for a drain, will try again. Thanks Geo, we did look at the aire site again no faci!ities, we have been to 3 or 4 now listing services only to find there are none. Hey ho, just the way it goes.

Friday we drove the length of the Promenade up to 2nd fort with not a loo in sight, out n about yesterday and public services only in restaurants etc...strange. Hindsight is a wonderful tool subfiver the

a review of that location that said Beautiful views but the dump drain off wasn't central?
so I posted location, if he troubled himself to go, he would meet others in the same situation, and far better equipt to solve his problem than any resources on the net

Do you have an Intermarche fuel court nearby, many of them have dump points for camper vans.

Website given on a thread on here shows petrol,stations as well as the shops, may be they have a phone number so you can ring and ask save driving to each one. www.intermarche.pt/lojas

No really. A second or third cassette only delays the problem, it does not solve it and three cassettes fully of excrement are harder to deal with than one.

Dealing with two full cassettes takes no more time or effort than dealing with one, twice.

For what it is worth, I always wee in an old fabric conditioner bottle which I keep in the "little room". I empty it discreetly when necessary.

This technique (taught to me by a very experienced Funster) means I now have a much, much longer time between black tank emptying...

I know a full time motorhomer who actually does "the other" into a plastic bag which he then takes to a bin (like the dog folk do with their dog poo).

I am afraid that is a step far too far for me!

The place you are parked is what's known as the haunted house, best if you have a bike its about 10 minutes , come out and turn right head towards Porto with the river on your left.
You will eventually come to a multi storey car park, at the In entrance just inside the car park is a pay machine and public toilets.

One member posted on here,that they got a bag big enough for the Cassette went to a Store/Supermarket etc and flushed the contents of the Cassette down the loo.... How easy is that?
