Fantastic work I particularly like the evening sky in post 18, as these are my favourite colours and I do like 'sky' scapes. I wish I had your talent. Could do with that picture on my wall.

Since we have got our motorhome I have just started drawing and painting classes and love it. It is so relaxing to sit and just paint without thinking of anything else and it has made more a lot more observant. I love using acrylics too and watercolour pencils if it is a quick sketch, I am struggling with watercolour as it can be unprectable.

I'm new to this forum and am not so patiently waiting to pick up my first motorhome in about 4 weeks time. Glad to see there are other painters here (I remember the highland cow from AT, I'm on there too). A big decision to actually get the mh was to have a kind of mobile studio as I have rather taken to plein air painting. This is my first look at the hobbies thread and maybe I will find some more painters around. Love the aurora painting and the thistles in particular. Hope to share some of my attempts once I get going. I'm sure starting to feel more at home here now.

@SGNV are you ready to post your work yet please?

Are you sure you are that eager to see mine??? :xsurprised:I thought I'd wait until I actually have the van and use it for things I do when out. But here's something I did yesterday. It is from a book, Art Models2, Dan.

Am slowly getting to grips with my scribbly, energetic way of drawing. For the last 3 years I have been fighting it, thinking I had to learn how to draw properly, long story. This one is not quite right, but it is ok. Learning to be brave and not do a pencil drawing first. Took about 1/2hr.
Think I will eventually start my own thread to share things, if that's ok. (next Tuesday, that's when I'm collecting it, soooooo long).

Nice interpretation. Must admit I find the photo rather painful to the eyes, just too sharp. You have made it nice and soft and you solved those pesky reflections! And a good reminder that I should be working on that one too rather than sit here by the computer. Good luck with the challenge.
With the challenges I try to go off at a tangent and not copy the originals, wether it is a good idea I know not, keep getting honourable mentions but not the elusive win.
