Rattling window stays Ixeo 585t (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am having noise problems with the window stays in the lounge area of my 2011/585. Each stay is made of two pieces of metal which slide over on another. When the windows are closed in transit these two pieces clatter together, very annoying.

At the moment I have cured the problem by looping an elastic band around them which holds them together, but of course this has to be removed whenever you want to open the window.

I would like to find a more permanent solution any suggestions?

I just have one window stay that does that. When I bought the van it had a bit of electrical tape around it so obviously the previous owner never bothered using that window.

I've never looked at solving the issue properly but instead use a strip of double sided Velcro which is quick and easy to wrap around and remove.

Either squeeze the outer runner or expand the inner so they are a little tighter when they slide together.
