Of course it will affect wheel balance, the wheel will be 9g out of balance assuming it was in balance before.

However the question is "is 9g significant ?". Probably nothing on a MH with big heavy wheels.

TC215B/TB99
The sensors for the TC215B and TB99 are 20.5mm diameter x 20.5mm long. When fitted they extend 12.5mm beyond the length of the tyre valve.
They weigh 9g which is within the tolerance for most wheel balancing, so rebalancing after they are fitted is not usually necessary

I notice the sensors are 20.5mm in diameter. Will these fit on a standard Fiat 15 inch wheel with the Fiat wheel trim on.

Fitted them yesterday on x250 with 225/70 R15C 112/110R Toyo HO9 tyres, could not tighten the security screws but no problem with balancing upto 65mph on the A1 today and we have standard Fiat wheel trims.

We have not had any problems with wheel balancing when fitting TyrePal to our car (Citroen) & locking screws are a bit fiddly but worth the effort as do give piece of mind. Not tried them on the motorhome yet (Ford Transit) but had a quick look & sure they will be fine on there too.

Mine arrived and they are sitting on the side teasing me along with the tracker. - New MH hasn't arrived yet. Only built on Wed should be here and ready for 12 Dec

One note though, they do not recommend fitting if you have Aluminium V/V stems. Dissimilar metal corrosion with the brass screw thread on the Tx.

We have just sold our old car & although the new one has a fitted Ford TPMS system it isn't as good as the TyrePal for monitoring so will try using the two together. Has anyone tried this?

According to TyrePal we should be able to use it in conjunction with the Ford (as well as other car manufacturers) TPMS system :
"With regards to putting TyrePal with your internal TPMS system built in the car as well, they can both work separately. Your car will tell you there is a problem, TyrePal will tell you what the problem is, (high or low pressure / temperature) and which wheel."
Just need the rain to stop now in soggy Somerset so we can get it fitted...

Great news - can confirm that the TyrePal works well when used on a vehicle that already has manufacturer fitted TPMS When we got our new car (with Ford TPMS) thought we might not want/need it or might cause some clash but missed the monitoring feedback that gives more piece of mind so happy now we have both Probably just as well as we don't have a spare tyre just on of those repair kits....

Just spotted that if you have TyrePal fitted some companies offer a 5% discount on motorhome insurance - so far Camping & Caravanning Club Clubcare, Shield Total & Crusader. Not heard of the last two but have seen mentions of the C & CC insurance on the forum before - every little helps!

It's ok I've found all the info. The 215b is up to 99psi which covers are tyre.

In the meantime there is a current Caravan Club discount code CC1602 which gives 20% discount on TC215 & TB99 until 29th February - not as good as our Funster discount but better than nothing if you need to buy now

I bought and fitted the TB99 unit in December. This week we had a few days at the CC site in Bury and on the way down after about 80 miles the console which was on top of the dash mounted reverse camera next to the RH door pillar lost the signal from 3 of the sensors. Within a further 20 miles it had partially recovered to show only 1 lost signal. For the return journey I repositioned the console to the centre of the dash on the clipboard part and it performed perfectly. I assume as I travel with the reverse camera on it was interfering with sensor signal. Its surprising how much the tyre pressures increase with temperature.

Having had no reply from my email checked Linkedin & found that their marketing executive was made redundant in December Have emailed via their website to see if they have someone else who can offer us a deal. In the meantime the £99.99 for the TBP99 on their website is good & the CC discount for the TC215 does run until the end of February We have built in TPMS on our new car but still like having the TyrePal fitted as well for constant monitoring

Try CC1411 for £20 off TC215 which currently works - won't work on TB99 as both the old & new solar versions are currently on offer already.
