Don't need a fancy clock, keep a radio next to the bed and switch it on full blast in the middle of the night, you'll soon have someone yell "turn that racket off at 3 o'clock in the morning!"

I bought one in John Lewis Acctim Joy LCD Flip Alarm Clock it is £12 now.
I find it useful as I can see it in the dark and read it without putting my glasses on!!
I pop it in the bedside cupboard when not in use and as it has a flip cover it doesn't get damaged

I have thought of getting a drum to bang outside someone's window. They will then say who is bagging a drum at 3 .26 in the morning.:)

Paul that is so true. I find with silver screens on in winter you have no idea what time it is. In summer it so bright with the remis blinds that you have no idea what time it is. For me one false move at an early time and the dog is pouncing wanting to go out and play...

Change the dog. Mine are Whippets & in the past I've had Greyhounds. All the long dog breeds don't do mornings. They have to be woken up to come for meals & normal getting up time for them is after 0930 :). Unless it's raining then it's lunchtime.

My lurcher was like that. However the border collie is a different beast.... I have suggested changing her for a tortoise but apparently they are not as cute and cuddly!

Our Pure radios have a fairly big digital time display which can be read in the dark - if you are able to position a radio close by you in the night. Bit of an expensive option though! :)

If your bladder gets you up then presumably (hopefully) you go to the loo and could spot any type of timepiece strategically placed on your way there or back. Unless you can see in the dark (probably not as you admit to wearing specs) presumably you switch the loo light on, so why not leave your watch/phone in there??

I've been meaning to get a clock and matching barometer for ours. The type sold for boats look ideal as they are designed for bulkhead mounting. Something like this (but cheaper - and luminous!):

I once stuck a purple toffee wrapper from the Quality Street box over an overly bright bedside clock, stayed there for years!
If that's any help.

We use a projector clock. It works on mains for projection...so I got a 3 cell battery holder and a power plug to use when on no EHU. Works a treat and the 3 cheap abtteries last about 4 nights. And the cost? £1.79 for the battery case and plug, plus a bit of bell wire.

I am looking for a small clock to go in the campervan. I would like to be able to see the time in the dark with a subtle light, not one that keeps you awake all night long!

Any suggestions?
Come back to the motorhome from the pub very late......the wife will soon tell you what time it is.....:):)
