Replacement drop down monitor (1 Viewer)

Help for the sufferers of the rubbish drop down monitor fitted up until recently. I'm taking our Comanche to New Zealand next year and have joined the NZ AT Owners group. A member on that forum has found a cheap replacement drop down monitor and says:

'The Eonon unit fitted in the allotted space perfectly.

The only modification was to the base plate. I had to cut a new hole for the wiring.

The wiring was very simple with just three wires,however there were extra wires which served no known purpose.

The monitor catch was more substantial than the original unit.

and also said that:

The whole unit was a great improvement on the unit A/T provided in all respects. It also had the added feature of the screen swiveling.

I can't say it is any good but might be worth trying if you're stuck!!

Looks very neat and smart. Not sure about swivel screen feature with illustration though as it has two fixed hinges but hey, you can't have everything. I'd certainly consider one as replacement should the need arise

I don't have an AT but have got a drop down/swivel monitor for my reversing camera, well pleased with it and it was a retro fit after purchasing my PVC. I didn't want another bit of kit stuck on the dash.
