Renault Master base vehicle warranty help (1 Viewer)

Today we took our Adria motorhome for it's first service. It only has 8000 miles on the clock, first registered October 2014. Garage said they were certain that it wouldn't be due a service ubtil 24,000 miles and phoned Renault to check. To our suprise, renault HQ came back saying that the warranty expired in November 2014 as it was first registered in Slovenia. We have had it serviced regardless, however, we cannot get our heads round the fact that the V5 clearly states first registered on 1st October 2014, in our minds, the 2 year warranty should start then, Renault beg to differ.
Has anyone else come across this with Renault?
We had the same when we had an Adria on a Fiat, although once we gave proof of registration document, they updated their records and the warranty was put in place.
The dealer understood that the warranty would start from the date first registered too.
Any help given to sort this out would be most welcome

Does the V5 state "declared new at first registration"

The "First registered on 1st october 2014" only means thats the day it was first registered in the UK.

Having a grey moment, it states on the front, declared new at first registration!

Then Renault want an ass kicking.

Whoever said it was registered in Slovenia need to recheck their info.....it was possibly BUILT in Slovenia.

Cant be first registered here 1st oct 2014 AND declared new on the same day if it wasnt.....

Get the Renault dealer involved again and show them the V5

All being sorted.....I hope. Adria Uk have emailed Slovenia to have the motorhome registered for both the hab and cab warranties......dealer hadn't completed online registration Other than that can't fault the dealer and a big shout out to Ben of Adria Uk for his quick turn around today. Did have another call from Renault too before this....they also said they would look into it and sort something out for us
