If you are 100% certain that you had made the connections in the correct order with the correct polarity then you should contact the seller

Presumably you bought from trueshopping? I found they are not unreasonable to deal with. I would expect them to offer you a suitable discount equal to the rubbish regulator. It will be interesting to see what they value it at

100 watt panel will not exceed even 10 amps so yes but it may not be a duo controller?

A silly question ,you did connect both batteries to duo regulator first ,before connecting solar panel ? As recommended .
I have exactly the same system 20amp duo + remote with a 200w solar battery 1(1x110amp) @20% battery 2 @ 80% ( 2 x 110 ) and no problems as yet

OK best not to mention connection sequence to seller !
On all the regulators I've fitted it clearly states damage could occur to the unit and to connect batteries first then the panel.
So that's the way I have always done them.all with success .
And I always put a fuse bank in line to both the battery(s) and the panel.
Others fit them differently .
Can't say if the problem you have was caused by that but hope you can sort it ok (y)

Fuses inside ? They didn't work then I recon from what you describe ,would have just blown and no juice would it not?
I have fitted a 6 fuse unit in line ,pull all fuses connect all wiring put in batt fuse's first then solar panel .

Hi,
The manufacturers instructions are not the best and are therefore not very clear. What pages two and three of the manual is trying to say is to connect the terminals in order 1 through to 6. IE terminal 1 first, followed by terminal 2 etc. The reason the battery(s) must be connected first is to enable the elctronics to automatically select 12 or 24V mode.
Manual is here http://www.epsolarpv.com/en/uploads/news/201310/1382338230686012.pdf

The specification of the unit is here http://www.epsolarpv.com/en/uploads/news/201408/1407810914399200.pdf
Claims "the failure rate is less than 2 per 1000 pcs" and also claims " Electronic protection: over charging, short circuit, battery reverse polarity protection".
Nothing about panel reverse connection!
