We have he same engine in our Peugeot based van and despite ringing the recall line at Peugeot, apparently our engine is unaffected. What year and model is your van?

We had the recall notice and our local main dealer carried out the work within a few days. Our van was registered first on 1st November 2012. 2.2 duratorg.

Not really an unhappy occurrence.

With the mileage a motorhome covers, the original pump would have failed well after the warranty had expired.

Some manufacturers would have taken the gamble and not recalled your vehicle!

Same here my Peugeot A/S Broadway registered March 2014 fitted with the Ford Puma engine, now done nearly 13,000 miles, Peugeot say's no recall.

There is a 3 years warranty with the Peugeot Allan and with the mileage that you and I do, if nothing goes wrong within the 3 years perhaps to satisfy ourselves it may be wise to have the pump replaced any way after warranty has run out.

Thank John, I would be more worried about the wear in the pump and any damage that could cause to the engine during the warranty period. Changing the pump afterwards may be a good idea, but what if any damage has already occurred? Our van had covered just under 18000 miles now in just over 2 years, we could potentially cover another 8k before the warranty runs out.
But, Peugeot told me van van wasn't affected, so if anything does happen to the pump or engine out of warranty, I should have a good chance of claiming.
Of course, it may be that the pump fitted to mine is actually unaffected like they say. I believe the new pumps are made by Citroen/ Peugeot anyway and different production runs have different components fitted.
I'm not convinced though!

Thank you for the heads up Have checked with Etis & Ford dealer & no recall on our 2.2 manufactured September 2013 so looks like a limited batch are affected.

Checked ours too reg 3/2014 manufactured transit base 9/2013 no action required when was yours manufactured hancock

Just got the letter yesterday about the recall. Mine needs to be done. Must be a problem as mine is out of warranty time wise not millage. like the bit in the letter that says "This could result in reduced oil pressure and consequential engine damage if the oil lamp illuminates and is ignored." Who would ignore a low oil pressure lamp coming on

What years of manufacture dose the recall cover?
