They are 180w so will run on a small sinewave inverter.
So will then run on 12v
Erm what's an inverter?

Oh okay so that makes the crossover from the 240v to use items on the 12v system?

you connect it to the 12v (DC) leisure battery and using some electronics it creates a pseudo 220v (AC) mains output. quickly drains the battery though and actually uses more energy than it produces as its very inefficient.
people only tend to use them when there is no option but using mains electricity but its not available. Generally they get used in conjunction with solar panels to recharge the batteries by motorhomers

90% efficient and ok for low wattage items but anything with heating elements will use a lot of current. Microwaves use a large amount more than their quoted output on start up.

Oh ok thanks. I had better look into that as I have a solar panel. If I understand correctly it is an onboard jumpstart for the vehicle battery?
