Hi All,
for sale a tow-ball mounted, three bike, Thule rack. In good condition with lock system to lock it to your tow-ball. I just couldn't imagine drilling my MoHo to fit a bike rack, but wanted to take our bikes - problem solved.

Not sure if you had/have the same thinking as me (when I bought it a little while ago) - how the hell does that work without swinging about?????? Don't honestly know now - but they don't, absolutely rigid. Comes with the uprights and several additional straps too.(y)

£100.00 to the nearest Funster - collection North Somerset.

Regards,

Trikeman. ;)

Hi Martin,
not that my eyes are brilliant these days - just had a look at the rack and just by the ball mount is the only 'model' number I could see = RD5. I looked on't internet and this one is the same/similar to mine, complete with light board, socket and the hoops that fold down/up.

@Trikeman, thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately the rack is not quite what we are after. Regards Martin

Bleeding hell Kev, just ordered a two bike Witter one off ebay for £152. :( Should be delivered either tomorrow or Wednesday. The strap on bike rake I use on the back of the car was fine for the Raleigh but the Cube with the rear suspension under the top tube makes mountain a little difficult and despite placing packing caused slight damage to the car paint work.

Does the tow ball have to be grease free for it to grip?

Cheers Mick

Didn't know you were after a rack Mick - you could have picked it up with the Cube,,,,, there again I didn't know I was going to sell it then. Oh' the foibles of getting old.(n)

I think Mick it's more to do with the shape of the ball that stops the up and down side of things and it relies on clamp/friction to stop the side to side bit. I always gave my tow ball a wipe clean before fitting the rack as my 'engineering mind' says I don't want lubricant under a clamp - not 100% that it matters though. Have to have a look on line - as box and papers went the same as everything else here - I put it down, she throws it out.o_O

Regards,

Trikeman.;)
